Single Throw Internet Marketing CFO, Jim Farrell Honored as Citizen of the Year
November 16, 2011—Wall, NJ—Jim Farrell, CFO of Single Throw Internet Marketing, and a past president of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, was recently honored by the Chamber as Citizen of the Year for his outstanding civic contributions to the township and many achievements within the Chamber itself.
Farrell, along with three other recipients, Lisa Gallicchio (Greater Media New Jersey), the Lakewood Police Department, and Don Irwin (New Jersey Natural Gas) were recognized at an awards presentation and fundraiser on November 16, 2011 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, NJ. Each received a flag flown over the Capital, along with proclamations from the township, Monmouth County, and the State of New Jersey.
Farrell, a former military policeman, earned a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Binghamton and in 2001, he and colleague Larry Bailin founded Single Throw. Farrell also served as the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce president from 2008-2009 and used his internet marketing expertise to launch the Chamber into the digital age with a website created by Single Throw. Farrell also made great strides to increase Chamber membership, which doubled during his term as president.
Farrell was both excited and honored when he learned he would be receiving the award. “It is a privilege to be honored by the Chamber and to stand alongside such influential members of our community.” He says. Farrell plans to continue his involvement in the Chamber as a mentor as well as member of the board, and is looking forward to watching the Chamber grow as new members take the reigns. “I am so happy that I am involved in the Chamber and I anticipate seeing more growth and involvement from all facets of the Lakewood community in the future.”
