Internet Marketing Resources

As a professional Internet marketing company that has been in the Internet marketing businesses as long as we have, you tend to come across a lot of useful (and useless) Internet marketing (and traditional marketing) websites and resources.

During our own website development process it was hard not to fall into the trap of, "too many cooks in the kitchen." There are plenty of Internet marketing consultants, specialists and experts and they all wanted to get involved in the website development process. If we let all the staffers get involved (over 30 people when this site was launched) we never would have finished our website.

We did let them all get involved with the development of this particular page because we felt it would benefit you. We wanted to create a list of resources for our clients, clients to be and the casual website visitor (who may know someone that should be client) we decided to let the experts provide their favorite websites, the sites they visit and use frequently in their quest to enhance their Internet marketing greatness.

Below you will find a bevy of favorite Internet marketing links and other marketing resources brought to you by the Internet marketing consultants, specialists and experts at Single Throw. A brief description of what the link is and why they thought it was important to have here is also included. We also added links to author bios and their introduction videos so if you disagree with them you can let them know.

Have an resource you think would fit well here? Tell us about it! To contact us, click here or call 888-920-9778.

Clickz.com has marketing articles and information covering SEO, search marketing, social, advertising...you name it! Googleblog.blogspot features everything Google "wants" you to know about Google, plus a few cool tools... Springpadit.com. OK this is more of a tool, but a really cool one to help you organize and share data from "notebooks". Jennifer Patterson

Jennifer Patterson - Facebook Ads are becoming a large part of the social marketing department. Although there are a lot of websites out there sharing information about how to manage ads, the actual Facebook site probably has the best information. Another resource, Allfacebook.com, is one that the social marketing team at Single Throw checks daily. The site posts continuous updates about any news related to Facebook, and will even give readers a sneak peak on some rumors floating around about Facebook.

Amy GiubiloAmy Giubilo - One of my favorite Internet marketing resources is Mashable.  This site has literally everything from social marketing news to entertainment news.  Mashable is my go to site that I check daily. I can always find the perfect article or video that I can share with the Social Marketing Marketing Team and I know it is always informative and fun. Another favorite resource I love to use is Social Media Examiner. Social Media Examiner has case studies, reviews, and is always on top of the latest research for social marketing. It is another site that I check regularly and I am always able to share their articles with the Social Networking Marketing Team.

Lisa BonoLisa Bono - Social Media Today is an independent, online community for professionals in Public Relations, marketing, advertising, and any other discipline where a thorough understanding of social networking is mission-critical. Social Media Today is one of my favorite resources because it is a community that continually adds social networking stories every day and it is interesting to read about what's trending. VentureBeat is another one of my favorite resources. It is a media company that provides news on technology and innovation for forward-thinking executives. SocialBeat, which is a section on VentureBeat, provides social networking news such on Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, and Google + from different VentureBeat writers.

Nicole ConnellyNicole Connelly - EdgeRank is an algorithm that ranks posts in the Facebook news feed. Fan pages with high EdgeRank Scores will be more likely to show up in the news feed, than pages with low EdgeRank Scores. EdgeRank allows you to learn how and when your audience likes to engage with your brand. EdgeRank Checker has developed their own EdgeRank algorithm to help page admins understand how their page interacts with the News Feed. Another one of my favorite resources is our very own Single Throw Facebook page because it is a valuable resource for all the latest Internet marketing news. We provide tips on social networking, SEO, viral video marketing, online reputation management, and more. Like our Single Throw Internet Marketing fan page and stay up-to-date on all the latest internet marketing trends!

Megan BakerMegan Baker - ReelSEO is a great resource for all things video marketing! Whether I'm looking for information about the latest YouTube design changes or researching new techniques for optimizing our clients' videos, I turn to ReelSEO for fresh video marketing news and ideas. YouTube Creators is a hub for video marketers, filled with news and tutorials about YouTube; the 2nd largest search engine in the world after Google. YouTube Creators is a great place to find advice and innovative ideas for taking your video marketing to the next level.’

Emily MichaelsEmily Michaels - ShortStack is a great tool we use for creating and managing custom Facebook tabs. Our clients sometimes ask us for a tab that contains different items, such as a Twitter feed and a coupon, on the same tab. A lot of Facebook tab applications will allow you to add those to your Facebook page, however, ShortStack allows us to completely customize a tab for each of our clients. We can even have special fan-only content, such as a coupon or promotion. Another resource, Sprout Social, is our social networking management tool. With Sprout Social we are able to track and monitor all of our incoming and outgoing messages from Facebook and Twitter. Sprout Social allows us to respond to Twitter mentions and Facebook comments all in one place. We also use Sprout Social for detailed Facebook and Twitter reporting.

Arielle BandesArielle Bandes - Pixlr is a photo editing website that is a great alternative to Photoshop. With Pixlr, we can edit photos, create banners or calls to action right on the web. Pixlr is extremely helpful when you don't have access to Photoshop. Another great resource is LocaFollow. LocaFollow is a great tool that can help you find Twitter followers. You can specifically target followers by location or by keywords found in Twitter bios. We use LocaFollow and other Twitter tools to find followers within our clients' target demographics.

Nicole FarellaNicole Farella - Google Reader is vital tool for online reputation management and a resource that I use every day! It is an interface developed by Google that allows you to aggregate RSS feeds from sites you want to receive consistent updates from, or you can use its alert tool to monitor mentions of your company across the web. Social Mention is another resource I use often. It is a social networking search platform that compiles user activity on social platforms and organizes them in a single stream of information. It allows you to track and measure what people are saying about you, your company, or any topic across the web's social networking landscape in real-time.

Kevin SharpeKevin Sharpe - One of my favorite resources is Facebook Insights. This site has everything Facebook page owners/administrators need to analyze trends in growth, user demographics, content consumption and more. Danny Sharples

Danny Sharples - My favorite and most-used Internet marketing resource is Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to build monthly stat reports for our clients to see what customers are searching for, what page they view the most, how long they visit the site for, and more. Google Analytics is my favorite resource because it gives clear, accurate statistics that help our search engine optimization team learn more about our clients' customers/potential customers.

Dennis RuhlinDennis Ruhlin - Hubspot, and the people behind this company, are responsible for getting me into the field I work in. The work they put out is straight forward, informative, and often really easy to understand, grasp, and apply. Their information is approachable even from a layman's perspective. What I really like about Hubspot is the fact that they give away a lot of good information, often with solid data to back it up. They also usually provide real world examples, to further concrete the ideas and the theories they discuss.

Eva Januszkiewicz

Eva Januszkiewicz - My favorite resource, adwords.blogspot.com, is Google's official blog for news, changes, and tips on adwords. It's basically all information on the program I use every day, straight from the source.

Cathy MilletCathy Millet - Search Engine Watch is where I focus in on the Local section for the latest news and tips in local search marketing. It keeps me abreast of the latest developments that may affect our clients' Google Places listings and their other local listings.

Another resource I like is Manta.com which provides information on small businesses along with Franchisegator.com, which provides information on medium to large sized franchises.
