James Farrell, CFO

After serving in the Army as a Military Policeman, Jim Farrell earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (1983) from SUNY Binghamton. Mr. Farrell has held key financial positions as Tax Auditor for the New York State Department of Finance, COO of a retail electronics chain and in 1994 became CFO of Configuration Management Inc., an IT consulting company headquartered in Red Bank, NJ.

Six years later (2001) he and Larry Bailin founded Single Throw, an Internet marketing company headquartered in Wall, NJ. In 2004 Jim and Larry founded Move Ahead 1 a Business Education company in Wall, NJ.  Jim is on the Board of Directors of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and serves as their President. Jim also chairs the Technology, Finance and E-newsletter committee for the chamber, and was instrumental in developing websites for both the Lakewood and Brick Chambers. Jim is the founder of the Monmouth/Ocean Chapter of the Financial Executives Networking Group which holds meetings every second Tuesday of each month. As CFO of Single Throw and Move Ahead 1, Jim is in charge of the company’s finances, Human Resources and managing the quality of services produced by Single Throw.
