Anthony Mennie works as a Search Engine Optimization Team Lead at Single Throw Internet Marketing. He works to improve the search engine optimization strategies for Single Throw's Internet marketing clients. Before coming to Single Throw, Anthony worked as a Technical/Master Control Operator for NY1 News in New York City and as a Marketing Assistant for local radio stations in New Jersey. Anthony has also consulted with local business on using social media for business growth, website maintenance, blogging, and e-mail news blasts.
Anthony graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University in 2008 with a B.A. in Radio/Television/Film Production and a Minor in Political Science. He was inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta International Communications Honor Society and was awarded the 2009 CBI National Student Production Award for Best Student Documentary.
When not out riding his bike or hitting the gym, Anthony loves relaxing on the beach with a good book. He is also an avid film, television, social media buff, and likes to keep up-to-date with politics and current events.
John Strevens graduated from William Paterson University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in writing, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in Film Studies. He graduated Cum Laude with Performing and Literary Arts Honors from WPUNJ’s Honors College. John was also selected as Honorable Mention for ‘Writing Across the Curriculum’ in 2010.
After college, John worked as a content writer for a design studio in Red Bank, NJ. He wrote content for print materials, websites, and social media, as well as working in SEO. While there, he also freelanced – managing online profiles for private business, including social media sites, blogs, and e-blasts. After that, John became a Digital Recruiter, servicing digital and new media talent. From there he moved on to Single Throw, which he calls the “greatest company ever, obviously,” and earned his Google Analytics Certification.
He likes film, music, basketball, statistics, reading, running and following TV shows. He’s incredibly happy to be at Single Throw, saying, “I could not be happier doing the work that I am now with the people I work with.”
As a Team Lead for the Search Engine Optimization Department, Jay McLeod helps increase visits and leads to client websites. He enjoys thinking outside of the box to draw the correct target audience, rather than just pushing for clicks and ‘eyeballs’—visitors to the page who have no interest in the information there.
The group at Single Throw is the most detail oriented and mission-targeted team Jay says he has ever worked with, which is saying something as he came to Internet marketing from the Air Force. He loves coming into the office ready to work with like-minded individuals who truly love what they do.
After being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force in 1999, Jay began working in Internet marketing. He has worked in many highly competitive industries, such as Education, Mortgage, Auto Warranty, and Medical lead generation. From small mom and pop businesses to large multi-million dollar corporations, he has worked on all aspects of digital marketing. Jay used his many years in the Internet Marketing field to drive targeted traffic to the proper pages to help clients succeed.
The past few years before Single Throw he worked in a marketing company with multiple lead generation departments, handling all of the digital marketing for those departments successfully. The experience of working on multiple industries at one single time helped him greatly during the transition to Single Throw. He believes each unique industry needs their own distinct brand of marketing. This is not a “cookie-cutter” industry; you have to be on your toes and adapt.
Confucius said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Jay picked a career he not only loves, but is good at. “I could never see myself in any other industry.”
Jay has a loving wife and a brilliant 7 year old daughter, and he spends all of his free time making them smile and laugh.
Before coming to work at Single Throw, Michael Falco interned at IEEE as a web presence intern. While there, he edited graphics and photos with Adobe applications, created, uploaded, and edited content, and surveyed specific pages and fixed broken links. After college, Michael interned at Single Throw Internet Marketing as a Social Marketing Coordinator intern. During his internship, Michael accepted a job offer to become a Search Engine Optimization Coordinator, his current position.
Michael’s personal Internet use went beyond social media and into using it as a daily tool. He wrote various articles and blogs, learning to optimize content and include credible back-links, as well as categorize articles to have them display in appropriate Google search engine results.
Michael attended Rider University, where he majored in Multimedia and Web Design, with a minor in Graphic Design, and a Concentration in Creative Writing. During the course of his college education, Michael was able to complete a full length screenplay in an independent study and made the Dean’s List several times, graduating from Rider in 2012.
Michael is a Black Belt in Elite Martial Arts. He enjoys, swimming, boxing, writing, and going to concerts with friends in his spare time. He’s a diehard New York Giants and avid golf fan.
Bethany graduated from Seton Hall University in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations. Driven by a love for organization and productivity (“The best days are the ones when you can check tasks off your ‘to-do’ list!”) she came to Single Throw looking for a more hands-on, results driven career.
Bethany worked her way through college, waitressing at Captains Inn for five years. While still in school, she interned for Enchanted Celebrations, a wedding/event planning company. Bethany maintained all of their social media marketing. As a Public Relations major, her internship at Enchanted Celebrations was her opportunity to learn about Internet marketing. She created Enchanted Celebrations’ first Pinterest account, and controlled the entire project from start to finish. As such, she was able to see how her efforts directly affected the number of leads, site visits, and followers they gained. After this, she was hooked on the hands-on nature of Internet marketing and pursued a career in this field.
Coming from a Public Relations background, Bethany brings a unique ‘thinking outside of the box’ mentality to Single Throw. As an SEO Coordinator, she not only thinks about how each idea will benefit her position, but also examines how it can benefit the client in regards to the other services and solutions the client has. Bethany really enjoys seeing how all these details fit together to make our Internet marketing efforts successful in their entirety. Over time, as a client’s website grows, and develops, Bethany enjoys seeing how her efforts impact and shape the overall success of the website for the client.
Cathy Millet has been managing the office and the submissions of client’s sites to the search directories since she began at Single Throw Internet Marketing in January 2006. Cathy also manages the Google Apps service for our clients. For 12 years prior she directed her own family daycare business, owned and managed her own online chat server, and worked as a sign technician and graphic design artist for the County.

She says of her years here at Single Throw, “Being able to grow with this company throughout the years allowed me to be involved with and understand the core of our work in internet marketing. This ever-changing industry keeps it fresh and exciting for me and I look forward to helping our clients evolve and thrive.”
Cathy married her high school sweetheart and has three girls. Being life-long residents of Point Pleasant, you can frequently find Cathy at the beach or relaxing by the pool. She enjoys home improvement and has custom designed her own home. Tom Murphy received his BSBA in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Math from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.
Prior to joining the Single Throw team as a Search Engine Marketing Coordinator, Tom worked as a Technical Analyst at The Hanover Insurance Group. There he developed a dashboard to track monthly reporting metrics.
Tom has always been interested in the marketing field. When the opportunity to work with the Single Throw team presented itself, Tom saw a chance to use his statistical analysis skills to help drive more leads to clients’ businesses via paid search advertising and enhanced campaign performance.
Outside of Single Throw, Tom focuses on learning all he can about Internet marketing. He even received his Google Adwords and Bing Ads certifications within three months of joining the company. Admittedly, his favorite thing about Internet marketing is the constant research to stay up-to-date with current trends and the satisfaction he gets from helping make a positive impact on our clients’ strategies.
Tom is also passionate about social media, tweeting from his personal Twitter account and interacting with many people. That is – when he isn’t going to concerts or TV show tapings. Annually, Tom goes to somewhere between 8 and 15 concerts a year!
